EdVenture’s educational labs are located throughout the Columbia location. Check the front desk for lab times. Keep scrolling to learn more about each of our labs.

Tinker Tech Lab

Ozobots

Draw a track of colors or try to solve a partially blank puzzle to move these tiny robots. Different color combinations will give the Ozobots different commands and directions.

A-Ha! Maker Space

Make a Parachute!

Experiment with different recycled materials then test your creation with the wind tube! Will it take flight? Come create, explore, and let your imagination soar!

Bio Lab

Acids & Bases

Explore different chemical reactions by combining acids and bases. Watch out, you may get some explosive results!

Cooking Lab

Apple Donuts

Who knew a donut could be so healthy! Little chefs will use an apple slice, sun butter, and cinnamon to make a tasty donut treat.

Toddler Time

Story & a Craft- “Claudia Say Si”

Learn about the first female president of Mexico and make a bilingual banner with us to help celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month. For ages 1-4 with a caregiver. 10 AM weekdays in the lobby.

Storytime Station

Fridays 12:00-12:30 pm

Visit the Library Fridays, 12:00 – 12:30 PM for Storytime. Take a break from screen-time, disconnect from technology, and spark your imagination with a “tale as old as time”.

Tesla Theater

Ready to spark your curiosity? Join us for the immersive Musical Tesla Coil experience on the 3rd floor! This mesmerizing performance of manufactured lightning will fascinate children and adults alike. The Tesla experience also dives into the history of Nikola Tesla, the father of electricity, and his incredible invention of Alternating Current (AC). Click here to learn more!

Got curiosity? Then the Bio Lab is just for you. Pull up a stool and open your mind as we make our way through the scientific method. We’ll make observations, hypothesize, and experiment to get to the bottom of questions that many of us have about the world around us.

Cooking Lab

Daily at 11:45 a.m. & 2:30 p.m.

Grab your aprons and meet us in the Cooking Lab! Here, we explore foods, their makeup, and how they nourish our bodies to help us grow. Not only will you fill your brains with knowledge, you’ll also fill your bellies with a homemade treat, created right here in the EdVenture Cooking Lab!

Put on your thinking caps as we dive into engineering, construction, and destruction of the world around us. Best for ages 4+, the Tinker Tech lab focuses educational STEM programming.

Toddler Time

Daily at 9:30 a.m.

The perfect place for baby! This special program for children 3 and under allows caregivers to engage in special bonding time with their babies as we read, sing, craft, and explore the environments around us.

Storytime Station

Fridays at 12:30 p.m.

Fun for the whole family! Join us for storytelling, sing-alongs, and more as we build early literacy skills.
