COLUMBIA LOCATION ONLY!

EdVenture Camps are designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence through hands-on learning and play. From exploring science and art to problem-solving and teamwork, our camps offer unforgettable experiences that keep kids engaged, inspired, and having fun. EdVenture camps are offered to children ages 5-10 years old at our Columbia Location ONLY. All campers must be fully potty-trained.

General Spring & Summer Camp Information

Pick-Up / Drop Off

Camp EdVenture hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Complimentary drop off is 7:30 a.m. daily. Pick-up is at 3 p.m. Extended day services are available from 3 – 5:30 p.m. for an additional $12 per camper per day. Extended day pick up is at 5:30 p.m.

All campers should be dropped off using the back entrance of the museum (The Terrace) and picked up with photo ID.
Food / Snack Policy

If a camper has any type of food allergy, please make sure that information is shared with the EdVenture team during the registration process.

Food is not provided by EdVenture. Spring Break and Summer campers are required to bring their own non-perishable, non-microwavable, nut-free lunch and snack(s). Campers should also bring a water bottle that is labeled with their name.

All campers MUST have a lunch every time they come to camp. Even if your camper is not a “big eater” they must have food, and we will provide an opportunity to eat. Please label your child’s lunch box. EdVenture does not have the ability to refrigerate or microwave food. Please consider supplying your camper(s) with additional snacks if they are participating in the early morning drop-offand/or extended-stay. No camper is permitted to share food. If a lunch needs to be dropped off later in the day, you may leave it at the front desk. Please label your child’s lunch box and water bottle.

Personal Items

We encourage campers to leave valuables (including all electronic devices) at home. Camp EdVenture will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items. If a camper does misplace any items during Camp, items will be placed in the lost and found at the Welcome Desk. We encourage parents/guardians to write the camper’s initials on jackets, backpacks and lunch boxes.

Ages 5-6: Community Helper HQ

What happens after you call 911? Find out what our community helpers do as we fight fires with firefighters, help patients with doctors, build museums with construction workers, and more. Let’s see what’s happening in our community every day.

In this camp, we use everyday items to create something extraordinary out of the ordinary. Through recycling, we’ll explore green engineering, fashion design, aeronautics, and more as you build your city of the future.

When is the last time a movie made you cry or a book made you laugh? In this camp, we’re creating our own stories by writing our own books, filming our own movies, and creating our own games. Stories have power and here, we’re learning to use that power to impact the world.

Ages 5-6

June 1-5: Robotastic

(Engineering/STEAM)

Early engineers will love this robot themed camp. Each day they will meet different robots, learn how they work, and discover what they do. They’ll create basic codes for their robot friends to follow, build obstacle courses for them to navigate, and discover a world full of possibilities and fun!
June 8-12: United Tastes of America

(Cooking)

In this exciting camp, young chefs will embark on a tasty journey across the USA! Campers will work together to explore different regions of the country, creating delicious and nutritious meals inspired by local ingredients. From the busy streets of the Northeast to the sunny orchards of the West Coast, campers will learn basic cooking skills, kitchen safety, and the joy of preparing food, all while building their own “Food Tour” experience.
June 15-19: Artist EdVenture

(Art / STEAM)

This camp is perfect for the budding artist in your life. We’ll learn about different styles of art and the artists who made them famous. Campers will paint, sculpt, and create mosaics using new mediums. Bring your creativity and let’s create a masterpiece!
June 22-26: Tyrannosaurus Rocks!
June 29 -July 3: Community Creators

Ever wonder how people and governments shape the world? This week, campers will explore what makes a community and a country work—learning essential skills like communication, cooperation, negotiation, and problem-solving along the way.

Younger campers will build their own classroom community complete with houses, jobs, and laws. They’ll practice taking on different roles in their community, make decisions together as a group, solve everyday challenges, and see how everyone’s choices affect the whole community.
July 6-10: Super Spy Science
July 13-17: Maker Magic
July 20-24: Young Musicians

Our young musicians will learn the basics of music; listen to the sound of instruments come to life to make a song! From making their own musical masterpiece to exploring how music impacts our feelings, our young musicians will become musical geniuses!
July 27-31: Fossils to Futures

(Paleontology / Earth Science)

Reduce, reuse, recycle, ROAR! Learn about the prehistoric past while turning trash into treasures. Build, sculpt, and sew recycled materials into all kinds of creations, like cities, costumes, cars, and Cretaceous critters, as we learn all of the different ways to recycle wasted products. Each age group will tackle different recycling challenges.

Time to take your robotics skills to the next level! Campers will design, build, and code different types of robots to complete challenges like obstacle courses, races, and more. Through these engineering challenges they’ll solve problems, improve their designs, and think like real engineers, all while having hands-on fun.
June 22-26: STEAM on Stage

(Performing Arts)

Take the stage and let your imagination shine! During STEAM on Stage, campers will explore the exciting world of performance through games, storytelling, design, and creative play, as well as the science behind some of theater’s best special effects. From learning stage basics and acting techniques to designing costumes and building sets, students will build confidence, teamwork, and self-expression. The week ends with a joyful performance, celebrating the journey from script to stage!
June 29-July 3: Community Creators or Future Founders

(Social Studies)

Ever wonder how people and governments shape the world? This week, campers will explore what makes a community and a country work—learning essential skills like communication, cooperation, negotiation, and problem-solving along the way.

Due to the holiday week, the 7-8 age group will be joining either the 5-6 age group or 9-10 age group.

7 Year Olds: Community Creators (5-6 Age Group)

Younger campers will build their own classroom community complete with houses, jobs, and laws. They’ll practice taking on different roles in their community, make decisions together as a group, solve everyday challenges, and see how everyone’s choices affect the whole community.

8 Year Olds: Future Founders (9-10 Age Group)

Older campers will take it a step further by creating their own nation. They’ll establish independence, draft and vote on laws, participate in a mock courtroom to defend those laws, and work together to improve their government and solve larger community challenges.
July 6-10: Pet Care 101

(Career Exploration)

Put on your animal-care hats, it’s time to learn and play! In Pet Care 101, campers will explore the world of pets by discovering what animals need to stay happy and healthy. From feeding and grooming to habitats and veterinary care, kids will learn how to be kind, responsible pet owners through hands-on activities and creative exploration.
July 13-17: Animation Station

(Engineering / STEAM)

In Animation Station, students will bring stories to life with technology. They’ll program their scripts, code their robots, and more to put their plans into motion. The only limit is your creativity so join us and let’s make something wonderful!

In this exciting camp young chefs will learn how to create their own recipes using a diverse range of ingredients. They’ll start with the basics of food preparation and work their way to preparing exciting and nutritious meals. Campers will “compete” against each other to see who will reign culinary supreme!

Ages 9-10

June 1-5: 3-D Printing
June 8-12: Robot Engineering
June 15-19: Biomechanics at Work

(Biology / Engineering)

Young medics will explore the inner workings of the human body by learning how it works by exploring its incredible systems. We’ll take an up close look at the components of blood, the functions of the brain, and how oxygen travels through our lungs. Campers will use microscopes,
stethoscopes, and other medical tools, just like real medical heroes!
June 22-26: Global Gourmet
June 29 -July 3: Future Founders

Level up your coding and crafting skills in this game design camp. We’re tackling every kind of game through daily design challenges and play testing. Campers will unravel how and why their favorite games work, then put those fundamentals into practice by making their own games of every genre.

Camp at EdVenture

EdVenture camps ignite culinary curiosities in the Cooking Lab, challenge scientific minds to make new discoveries in our Bio Lab, and spark innovation with unique building and coding in the Tinker Tech Lab. No matter what avenue you choose, there’s endless fun for everyone at Camp EdVenture!

Available June 2 – August 2. (No camps offered the week of July 4.) Perfect for children ages 4-10 at our Columbia Location. Spaces are limited. Ask about our discount when you sign-up on Camp Preview Day Weekend (March 1 & 2). All campers must be fully potty-trained.
