At EdVenture, we love celebrating the amazing partners who help make learning come to life! Our Partner Spotlight shines a light on our partners that support our mission to inspire children through play and discovery. Each feature gives families a behind-the-scenes look at our partners — what they do, how they give back to the community, and why they’re passionate about helping kids dream big. You’ll even find fun tips about the skills children can start practicing if they’re curious about careers in our partners’ fields!

I’m the local Owner/Operator of Chick-fil-A Bush River Road, where I lead a team focused on serving great food and creating a welcoming environment for our guests. My role goes far beyond running a restaurant though. I’m responsible for developing leaders, building a strong team culture, and making sure we’re making a positive impact in the community we serve. At the end of the day, my job is really about people: investing in them, growing them, and helping them reach their full potential.
How does your company/organization support the community at large?
Serving the community is at the heart of everything we do. Whether it’s partnering with our local schools and churches, supporting nonprofits like EdVenture, creating first job opportunities for young people, or working with local charities to donate food and help provide meals to those in need, we aim to make a meaningful impact beyond our restaurant walls. We also focus on developing our team members- not just as employees, but as individuals- by teaching leadership, responsibility, and life skills they can carry with them long-term.
Why is a connection with EdVenture beneficial to you, your company, your employees, and your customers?
EdVenture plays such an important role in shaping the next generation through hands-on learning and creativity. Being connected allows us to support an organization that aligns with our values of growth, curiosity, and community investment. It’s also meaningful for our team to see and be part of something bigger than themselves, and for our guests to know they’re supporting a business that actively gives back. It creates a full-circle impact that benefits everyone involved.
What are the skills a child should think about practicing if he or she is interested in a job in your field?
Some of the most important skills are things you can start building at a young age- like communication, teamwork, responsibility, and a strong work ethic. Learning how to serve others, stay positive under pressure, and take initiative will set you apart in any field, especially in hospitality. Just as important is confidence- believing in yourself and being willing to try, fail, and grow. Those are the skills that truly open doors.
