Workforce Development

How does a children’s museum build 21st century skills and cultivate a capable workforce in our youth? Let’s count the ways!

1. Improving early childhood education.
Providing programs, training educators and building public awareness of the need for high quality early childhood development.

2. Impacting classroom education.
Offering onsite programs, statewide outreach and professional development for teachers that contribute to educational success in our state.

3. Supporting workforce preparation.
While young EdVenture visitors can explore a multitude of careers within our World of Work exhibit, more than 100 middle-school youth can experience targeted education and career exploration in the biosciences.

4. Providing technology-based experiences.
From our popular Maker Works maker space to hosting the annual Columbia Mini Maker Faire, EdVenture provides children with year-round opportunities to explore the science and art of technology.
