Celebrate your child’s special day at one of EdVenture's premiere locations. Choose between our Basic and Deluxe birthday packages both of which include all-day admission for your guests, and a private celebration room. EdVenture members receive discounts on either party package plus their guests receive 10% off gift purchases through all of the museum's gift shops.

FAQs

Q: What is your payment and cancellation policy?
A: 50% of your total party cost is required in order to secure your reservation. The remaining balance is due at least five (5) days prior to your scheduled party date. If payment is not received, your reservation will be cancelled and your deposit forfeited. Cancellation within two weeks or less of your scheduled party date are non-refundable.

Q: What is the cost of additional children or adults for my birthday party? 

A: Additional children can be added to your party for $10 each.  Additional adults will not be charged. The suggested number of adults is provided for each party package to make sure guests are comfortable in our room space. We have a 35 person room cap. If your guest count is greater than 35, please call us to discuss available options.

Q: Is outside food permitted?

A: Yes, we do allow you to bring in food.  

Q: What do you provide in each room

A: Plain plates, napkins, forks, and colored table cloths of your choice of blue, green, pink, or red.  We also offer a lighter, candles, and a cake cutter in each party room.

Q: What about ice? 

A: We have a small ice maker in the back and our staff members are happy to go and get some for you! However, we can only guarantee enough ice to put into drinks and not enough to fill a cooler.  

Q: What if I want to extend my party time? 

A: Party times may not be extended past the 90 minute time frame.  You do have 15 minutes prior to your party start time for set-up and 15 minutes after your party for break-down.  And remember you and your guests enjoy all-day admission to the museum so come early and stay late!

Q: How early may I arrive for my party? 

A: You and your guests will have unlimited playtime in the museum before and after your party. If you would like to bring in food or any other items, your private party room will be available for you 15 minutes prior to the time of your party. 

Q: May I bring my own decorations? 

A: Yes! We encourage outside decorations. You may not use masking tape, glue, thumb tacks, pins, etc. to hang up wall decorations, and you may not hang anything from the ceiling. We suggest painter's tape.

Q: Is there anything you do not allow in the party room? 

A: Silly String, Confetti, Hanging Pinatas, Sterno Cans, Glass items, Hot Plates, Alcohol, Fog Machines, Water Balloons, Bubbles and Outside entertainment such as Clowns and Characters.

Q: I purchased a EdV Membership after booking my Birthday Party - can I get a refund for the difference between the Member and Non-Member price? 

A: We are more than happy to establish your EdV Membership and schedule your birthday party at the same time. If you purchase a EdV Membership after your party is scheduled, we are not able to refund the difference. We encourage Non-Members to consider all of the advantages of an EdV Membership, especially a Premium Membership bc parties are free for those members!

Q: Are birthday parties available at all EdV locations? 

A: Yes! - All three locations offer birthday parties. Please allow 48 hours for a response in regards to birthday parties. NOTE: Hartsville location is slated to open early Spring 2018. Birthday parties at that location will not be available until an opening date is confirmed.

Parents of party guests are required to stay for the party. All guests 13 and up are admitted for no additional charge. Party rooms comfortably hold 35 guests. Party reservations are first-come, first-reserved. A 50% deposit is required at booking.
