Crafter's Cove Activities

Back by popular demand, EdVenture is teaming up with the Surfside Beach community for another season of Crafter’s Cove! Every Thursday this summer, (with the exception of the week of July 4th), children 10 and under and their parents are invited to meet at the Pier on Surfside Beach to partake in an EdVenture crafting activity. No registration is required and this event is free! Click here for a complete list of the summer scheduled activities.

Every Thursday from 9:30AM-11AM from June 1st – August 17th* (*no activities the week of July 4th*)

June 1st  Rainbows!  (Sun Safety) Experiment with and make your own rainbow! (UV Beads)

June 8th  Let’s Go Fly A Kite! Make and decorate a mini kite and take it for its maiden flight!

June 15th Seashells! Design a seashell friend of your very own.

June 22nd  Ocean Ecosystems! Foil paint an ocean scene. Find sea creatures and more in our mini-water bead ocean.

June 29th  Sailing, Sailing! Come design your own driftwood sailboat. Talk about tides and rip currents.

July 13th  Shark Week! How many sharks’ teeth can you find and identify in our mini beach?

July 20th  Watercolor Painting! Find beach treasures and create a piece of art.

July 27th  Dolphins! Come learn about dolphins and make a dolphin suncatcher.

August 3rd  How many tentacles do they have?! Come create an Octopus and/or Jellyfish with us!

August 10th Sand Mermaids! Down to the beach we shall go to build and decorate beautiful sand mermaids.

August 17th Recycling/Litter Pick Up! Help us as we clean up our beaches and discover how and why it is so important to recycle for the good of the whole world! We will have a tasty treat for those that join our litter pickup.
