General Information

What can you expect from a place that is home to the World’s Largest Child? Big things! Come explore 92,000 square feet of fun mixed with interactive exhibits and activities to excite your mind and spark your imagination.

For admission and safety purposes, EdVenture considers individuals aged 16 and older an adult. All visiting adults must be accompanied by a child (under 16) to enter. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Parking

FREE parking is available in the surface lot shared with the South Carolina State Museum and in the Columbia Mills Parking Deck. Handicapped parking is near main entrance.

Breastfeeding

A space is available for nursing mothers in the My Backyard exhibit on the second floor.

Stroller Parking

Available on the porch in the My Backyard exhibit on the second floor.

If you’ve lost or found an item during your visit, please see the Welcome Desk or call 803-779-3100.

Pictures

Periodically, EdVenture takes photographs and video of museum visitors and activities for use in promotional and editorial material. With admission into the museum, you give permission to the museum for the recording of photographs and/or video of yourself and your dependents. You grant the museum all rights to use these still or moving images for educational, promotional, advertising, and other purposes which advance the overall mission of the museum, “to inspire children, youth, and the adults who care about them to experience the joy of learning.” All rights to the photographs and video belong to the museum. If you do not consent to this policy, please see the welcome desk at any EdVenture location.
