Facility Rental

EdVenture offers a unique venue for any event. Whether taking the entire museum for a big celebration of 1,000 people or hosting an intimate gathering with as few as 20 people on our riverfront terrace, treat your guests to a beautiful, downtown evening with no parking hassles. Delicious EdVenture Eats catering is available, but outside food vendors are welcome.


RENTAL OPTIONS

Full Museum

Rent the entire EdVenture facility and gain access to all eight of our world-class galleries, all meeting spaces and program rooms. Max guests: 1,500

Cost: $3,000 - Full Museum (Evenings, four hours)
$4,750 - Full Museum + Terrace)


Congaree Terrace

Celebrate under the stars on our stunning 12,000-square-foot terrace. The Congaree River and Gervais Street Bridge are beautiful backdrops to this spacious outdoor area with ample room for a stage, lounge area, food and beverage set up, dance floor and seating. Perfect for a wedding reception, prom or gala! Max guests: 1,500

Cost: $2,000 (Evenings, four hours)

Note: To comply with City of Columbia noise ordinance, outdoor music must stop at 10 p.m.

First Floor

EdVenture’s first floor is a beautiful space with four world-class galleries, the Imaginarium. Add outdoor fun by renting the museum’s beautiful 12,000-square-foot riverfront terrace overlooking the Congaree River. Max guests: 745

Cost: $1,500 First Floor (Evenings, four hours)
$3,250 First Floor+Terrace - Evenings, four hours)


The Heart of EdVenture

(Includes foyer area and at the foot of EDDIE)

Cost: $750 (Evenings only - four hours)


The Think Tank

This multipurpose room is located in the lower level of the museum. Host a bridal or baby shower, or use this room as space for team building.

Cost: $200 (Four hours)
$300 (Eight hours)
$350 (Evenings, four hours, after 5 p.m.)


Canal Room

Host your next business meeting, conference or seminar at EdVenture! The Canal Room features five plasma screens, and a prep kitchen. Additional A/V amenities are available upon request. Capacity based on setup.

Cost: $300 (Four hours)
$500 (Eight hours)
$750 (Evenings, after 5 p.m.)

Program Rooms

Located on the second floor, EdVenture’s two program rooms are great for smaller capacity functions and are great for small breakout rooms. Capacity based on setup.

Cost: $150 (Four hours)
$250 (Eight hours)
$350 (Evening, four hours, after 5 p.m.)


Deposits, Fees & Cancellations

All rentals require a 20% non-refundable deposit within 14 days of booking a reservation. The balance is due within 45 days of the event, unless otherwise stated in rental contract. Rental fees DO NOT include cleaning, A/V, or security fees. Audio/visual equipment can be rented for an additional fee.

Discounted rates may be available for 501(c)3 organizations with proof of status.
