Community Partners Program

EdVenture is committed to providing an outstanding interactive educational experience for all children in South Carolina. The Community Partners Program begins to meet that goal by offering a special membership program to non-profit organizations serving youth in Richland and/or Lexington counties. The purpose of this program is:

  1. To build partnerships with youth-serving non-profits in the area;
  2. To serve a population that might not otherwise experience EdVenture.

Community Events

EdVenture loves participating in community events throughout the state. From local festivals to state-wide conventions, our museum can be active at these events in a variety of ways, including providing educational programming to attendees on issues such as health & wellness, fire & life safety or environmental conservation. Community Support

EdVenture is proud to support other not-for-profit organizations by donating free admission passes to the museum for use in fundraisers, silent auctions, etc. Beginning December 1, 2008, the marketing department has been allocated enough free admission passes to grant requests from eight groups per month for fundraising efforts (maximum four free admission passes per group). Pass requests will be date stamped upon receipt and reviewed on the first Monday of each month. Approval will use the following criteria:

  1. Is the requesting group a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization?
  2. Will the passes be used for an auction or raffle by a school or a PTA?
  3. Will the passes be used for an auction or raffle by a non-profit organization?
  4. Does the organization or the event support the mission of our institution: “to inspire children to experience the joy of learning?”
