Youth Development

Since 2006, EdVenture has engaged middle and high school students in programs that promote creative thinking to develop critical thinking skills; increase self-confidence; encourages them to stay in school; and increases awareness of postsecondary learning opportunities and careers. EdVenture is proud to work with over 300 of South Carolina's youth annually through the following initiatives:

  • Future Leaders After-school Program (for 7th and 8th graders)
  • Museum Apprentice Program (7th–12th graders)
  • Youth Summit (6th–10th graders)
    • EdVenture's annual youth summit, Be A Boss, in March. It welcomed 200 6th-10th graders to a free, one-day conference designed to develop their leadership skills, increase self-confidence, maintain a healthy self-image and create plans for success.
