Richland One 2018 Summer Camps Registration is Open!
Richland One Summer Camp Program will be hosted at two Elementary Schools:
Bradley Elementary School 3032 Pine Belt Rd Columbia SC 29204 (serving children from these elementary schools Bradley, Satchel Ford, Brennen, and Brockman);
Sandel Elementary School 2700 Seminole Rd Columbia SC 29210 (serving children from these elementary schools Logan, Pine Grove, HB Rhame, Sandel, and EE Taylor)
Richland One Summer Camp Cost
$85.00 per week/per camper
You can register for each week below for the respective site you wish to attend.
You will receive an email confirmation upon completion of your online registration. Your confirmation email will include your confirmation number and information about Richland One Summer SOAR Camp
Class changes must be made 14 days in advance. A $20 processing fee will be charged for each change made to your reservation(s). There is no guarantee that space will be available in another class and no cash refunds or credits will be given after the 14-day cutoff. EdVenture reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a camp if minimum enrollment is not met. Parents will be notified at least seven days in advance of any change in schedule. Tuition paid due to a Club EdVenture cancellation will be refunded in full.
Drop Off /Pick Up Daily parents, guardians, or authorized adults will need to walk camper(s) into the school building and sign them in. Parents, guardians, or authorized adults will need to check in with Camp Instructors and confirm correct name spelling, emergency phone numbers, health history, and authorized adults for pickup. Pick-up is at 3 pm. Parents/guardians must have picture Id. Extended day available when signed up. Extended day pick up is at 6 pm with proper Id.
Club EdVenture and Richland One will provide lunch and one snack for all campers. Campers are encouraged to bring a non-perishable snack. If a camper has a food allergy, please make sure that it is included in the registration process.
We encourage campers to leave (including all electronic devices) at home. Richland One Summer SOAR Camp will not be responsible for any lost or stolen items. If a camper does misplace any items during Camp, items will be placed in the lost and found at the Site Lead check out station. We encourage parents/guardians to write the campers’ initials on jackets, backpacks, and lunchboxes.
Summer Camp Rules
To ensure a safe and fun environment for each camper, we ask that you read through the following Summer Soar Camp rules with your child. The rules are designed to guarantee the positive learning experience and environment that every child deserves. Please be respectful of other campers and staff. All campers and staff deserve to be treated with respect and kindness. No verbal or physical abuse will be allowed (examples: fighting, name-calling, and making fun of other campers). The Club EdVenture Camp staff are there to reinforce the safety and fun of each camper by ensuring the rules are followed.
June 11-14 Games,Gnomes and Drones
This Camp will be packed with engaging, creative, hands-on, and team-based learning. Campers will participate in multiple STEAM challenges throughout the week that show them just how fun and relevant science, technology, engineering, art and math are to our world all around through different games. Campers will learn the design process, develop problem solving skills, build their growth mindset, and strengthen their communications skills.
June 18-21 Earth, Wind and Fire
From the kitchen to the laboratory, reactions happen all around us! Join us as we try to solve different CHEM-mysteries. Make soda explode, experiment with slime, and explore the differences between physical and chemical reactions.
June 24-29 Delights from the Garden and Grill
Get your mixing bowls and oven mitts ready for some culinary creations! Science takes center stage as you discover the connections between cooking and chemistry. Learn about your sense of taste while creating dishes designed to make those taste buds go crazy!

July 9-13 Going for the Gold: Team Red, White, and Blue
Let the games begin! Join us for the opening ceremony then, go for the gold in a minute to win it, water games, bucket balance, pizza box curling, demonstrate human strength, amazing race challenges, and many more events. End with a final closing ceremony for Team Red, White, and Blue.
July 16-20 Mission to Mars
Discover the endless possibilities of science by conducting different experiments every day. Learn about the solar system, make a ball fly with air pressure, drop a parachute from our MEGA tower, and see how animals adapt to their environment by visiting outdoors. Let’s go on an adventure to explore science!
July 23-27 Me, Myself and I
Unleash your inner scientist and take a journey through the human body. Get your stethoscopes and gloves ready for this adventure to discover what makes you unique. Explore your different body systems and discover how your bones, muscles, and organs work together inside your body. You won’t need a “CELL” phone in this class to look inside yourself!
July 30-Aug. 2 Painter, Poets, and Performers: Celebrating the Artists in You!
Want to be a musician, artist a performer? Come join our band… of scientists of course! Build your own instruments and explore the importance of sound for survival and communication. Plunk! Rattle! Bang! Let’s get rocking!
