National Engineering Days

Come learn more about the field of engineering from February 19-22. Fun STEAM activities will be offered as part of the recognition of National Engineering Week. 

Activities:

 

  • Cubelets Robot Blocks combine to build thousands of thought-provoking robots. They’re a fast and easy way to inspire kids to become better thinkers! Come challenge yourself to build something truly awesome!
  • shake table can be used to test the resistance of structures to seismic shaking. It can also be used to demonstrate the sensitivity of structures of different heights to the frequency of the ground motion. What can you build using things around the exhibit that can withstand the earthquake?
  • Planks are the same size and shape and therefor give the builder an awesome abiity to engineer magnificent structures. We will be challenging the museum visitors to build the highest sculpture they can!
