Mini Maker Faire

Saturday, April 29, 2017 - Saturday, April 29, 2017

9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Columbia Mini Maker Faire, an all-ages festival of DIY tech enthusiasts, crafters, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers and artists, will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, at EdVenture Children’s Museum. Columbia’s fourth Mini Maker Faire will give local “makers” an opportunity to share their talent and inspire others to explore their inner inventor.

Part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new, the Columbia Mini Maker Faire is a localized version of the national Maker Faire which host 90,000 visitors in San Mateo each year.

In its simplest form, Maker Faire creates conversations with Makers. It is a show-and-tell for people of all ages and is a community-based learning event that inspires everyone to become a maker and connect to people and projects in their local community.

This one-day, family-friendly festival will feature performances, workshops, and many hands-on projects and activities for adults and kids of all ages to explore what they can make. EdVenture is excited to open a Kapla Blocks exhibit room.
