EdVenture Lights it Up Blue
Sunday, April 2, 2017 - Sunday, April 2, 2017
9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
EdVenture has partnered with Autism Speaks to celebrate World Autism Day and help raise global awareness by lighting up the museum with blue lights for the first week in April. EdVenture is included in the thousands of iconic landmarks, religious institutions, businesses and communities in more than 130 countries that join Autism Speaks’ ‘Light it Up Blue’ campaign. Drive by the museum at night and snap a picture of the blue lights!
Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and sensory processing differences are invited to join us for exclusive Sensory Friendly Days every Sunday from 11 a.m. - 12p.m.
World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD), observed on April 2, was adopted by the United Nations in 2007 to shine a bright light on autism as a growing global health priority. Every year on World Autism Awareness Day, Autism Speaks celebrates its international “Light It Up Blue” campaign. Thousands of iconic landmarks, skyscrapers, schools, businesses and homes across the globe unite by shining bright blue lights in honor of the millions of individuals and families affected by autism. Individuals everywhere wear blue in honor of our community.
