Bubbles are on the
loose again this summer in EdVenture’s outdoor exhibit,
Bubbleloosa! Children can become a bubbleologist for an
afternoon and explore the shapes, sizes and colors of
bubbles.With extreme bubble blowers that crank out
25,000 bubbles per minute, bubbles are sure to be floating
all over this summer.

Bicycle Rodeo and Safety Course at EdVenture Children's Museum 10:00a.m. - 12:00p.m.
The bike rodeo is a safety event designed to engage and entertain children while demonstrating bike safety
inspections and showing certain key safety skills. Families will participate in a bicycle safety course, so
bring your bikes! Also, try out some physical fitness
activities with Army recruiting sergeants.

Finale Celebration at EdVenture 10:00a.m. - 5:00p.m.
Join us as we celebrate together our achievements of the
last 3 months!
Foodplay Productions will present their Emmy
Award-winning, fun-filled nutrition theater show featuring
fantastic feats of juggling, colorful characters, motivating
messages, music, magic and audience participation to help
children learn how to take charge of growing up healthy and
fit at 10:30, 1:30, and 2:30. At 3:30 we will dance to the
family friendly music of Country Spirit. Awards for
participation in the Big ED Health Team will be distributed.

- Great Parenting 101 Series
EdVenture is offering free monthly workshops for
parents covering a broad base of topics that are of interest
to families with children. Dr. Robert Walker, M.D. is the director of Medical
affairs at Medimmune, a biotechnology enterprise that
develops better medicines for patients. He practiced
pediatrics for 25 years and will be discussing “Raising an
Emotionally Healthy Child.” No registration required.

New Summer Exhibit Opening - "AirPlay"
Find out how
air moves and influences our environment. Paint a wall of
fluttering "shimmer disks" with a spray of air and race
balls to learn the effects of turbulence. Make discoveries
about how objects behave in an air stream and balance
objects on multiple streams of air. Sponsored by the City of
Forest Acres. Open until September 2, 2008.

Summer Safety Celebration
Summer is fun, filled with lots of outdoor activity
and play. Learn how to keep your family safe and healthy
with activities and learning stations throughout the museum.
Columbia City Park Rangers will be at
EdVenture to present programs on water safety, insect bites,
how to stay hydrated and snake awareness. There will also be
programs on safe sun exposure by the EPA's SunWise program.
