Hands-On, Minds-On! Summer Institute for Teachers
Teachers are learners, too!
The Hands-on, Minds-On! Summer Institute for Teachers is a graduate (or recertification) course designed to present a refreshing approach to teacher training! Teachers are immersed in five days of fun, hands-on experiences that allow them to understand the research behind the curriculum methods being taught and then given $500 in free classroom materials with which to execute them. By the week’s end teachers will be empowered to make changes in their instructional program that will increase achievement for their students. Whether focused on science, math, or language arts, the activities are full of ideas that reinforce differentiated instruction, body-brain compatibility and integrated subject techniques. They are all standards-based and build upon all best practices approaches for curriculum.
Cost:
- Hands-on, Minds-On! Summer Institute, graduate credit, materials, meals and lodging is $425.
- Hands-on, Minds-On! Summer Institute only (not including lodging) is $175.
