EDDIE’s World
What kind of world does a 40-foot tall child live in anyway? EDDIE lives inside EdVenture and our littlest campers will get to climb and slide through his body before going off to explore the rest of the museum exhibits! Campers will investigate themes such as what makes up a community, the cultures of West Africa, how to stay healthy and the arts.

4–5 year olds
EDDIE’s World
Children will investigate the world of EDDIE and use their natural curiosity to answer questions such as how big is EDDIE’S shoe and what did he eat for lunch? Through fun science experiments, art investigations, story times and interactive games, children in this camp develop and enhance the skills needed to prepare them for kindergarten.
Move and Groove Jr. (NEW!)
Children use their innate energy to explore how their bodies move while learning about basic music concepts such as rhythm. Different kinds of music, movement and dance are incorporated into each day, exposing children to the music of numerous cultures.
Science Sprouts
Making science fun! Young campers will investigate and uncover the mysteries of everyday science while conducting fun experiments in the lab.
Junior Firefighter
Has your child ever wanted to meet a real firefighter? This camp is taught by real firefighters and children will learn what it takes to be a firefighter, including trying on real gear and learning about home and fire safety.
Young Chefs
These young chefs will get an introduction to important math and science skills while cooking up tasty culinary treats, as well as some delightfully gross creations.
Break a Leg Jr.
These young actors will learn about theater and create props, sets, and costumes as well as star in their very own production at the end of the week.
Making Music Jr. (NEW!)
Campers will investigate the science of sound while learning about different kinds of musical instruments. Designing and creating their own musical instrument and composing music will give children a chance to express their own musical talents.

6–7 year olds
Break a Leg Sr.
Actors-in-training will learn even more about theater life while designing and creating advanced props, sets and costumes in preparation for their production at the end of the week. Campers in the full day program will have the opportunity to continue creating advanced props, sets and costumes throughout the day.
Kitchen Science (NEW!)
What do chemistry and cooking have to do with each other? Everything! Campers explore the math and science behind what happens in our kitchens and throughout our homes, while conducting experiments and watching fascinating demonstrations. Campers in the full day program will have the opportunity to experience even more of the curious science behind everyday life.
Move and Groove Sr. (NEW!)
People all around the world use their bodies to express how they feel through dance. Campers use their own bodies and creativity to learn about the art of dance and its relationship to music. Music and dance from a variety of cultures will be explored throughout the week.
Making Music Sr. (NEW!)
How does sound make waves? Campers will investigate the science of sound and explore different ways of making sound. They will discover how to turn sound into music by designing and creating their own musical instrument, as well as composing their own musical masterpiece.
Abracadabra Apprentice
Campers become apprentices of a real magician and learn the secret art of magic and illusion in preparation for a magic show performance at the end of the week.
Environmental Investigators (NEW!)
Is your child curious about the outside world? Campers will explore the natural world from the forests to the oceans. Participants will conduct experiments, discover the nature in the museum’s backyard and learn ways to conserve the environment we all share.

8–9 year olds
Computers and “Crickets” (NEW!)
Are there crickets in that computer? These crickets aren’t of the insect variety, but are instead part of unique computer software that combines art and technology. Children will use this software to construct a variety of exciting creations, while learning about light, sound, motion and robotics.
Mimicking the Masters
Back again this summer, young apprentices will study several master artist styles and apply those styles to their own artistic creations. Learn how Jackson Pollack threw paint balloons on canvas to create masterpieces! Campers will use different mediums to explore their own artistic inspirations.
Edible EdVentures
An advanced-level cooking camp that explains math and science processes and lets young chefs get hands-on experience preparing fun food creations. Campers in the full day program will have the opportunity to explore additional food science investigations throughout the day.
Wilderness Explorers Jr.
Young outdoorsmen and women will learn what it takes to explore the wilderness. This includes the appropriate gear, right skills and safety techniques. Campers will put this knowledge to the test while exploring the museum’s backyard and learning about local flora and fauna.
